I had fun with this movie. There are some great characters and cameos, some really funny moments, and some pretty creepy ones, too. It’s not a perfect movie, but it’s worth watching, if just to see a darker (yet still hilarious) side of Danny McBride.

Blue Iguana

I love Ben Schwartz. I love Sam Rockwell. This movie is worth seeing, if just to watch them. It’s really nothing all that new, but it’s got some pretty funny scenes, and some fun performances.

The first half of this movie is pretty slow, and weird, and just kinda meh (although it looks really cool). The second half is crazy, and awesome (and looks really cool). Duh, Nicolas Cage is fantastic. Worth seeing for the second half.

I liked this movie. It feels very true-to-life. It’s got some funny parts, and some not-so-funny parts, and the ending makes it pretty unique, for a film of this type. It’s not something you’ll be dying to see twice, but I think it’s worth checking out.

I’ll just be honest, I don’t get the hype. I’ve seen this called the scariest movie of the year, and it’s just not. It’s not really scary at all. At best, it’s creepy for the last 30 minutes or so. The first half of the movie is more like a slow drama. All that to say, I did like the movie. It was interesting. It was thought-provoking. It was… creepy. I definitely like it more after giving it some time (and watching a youtube explanation of things). It’s not as mind-blowing as I was expecting, but it’s a movie worth exploring.
