A Futile and Stupid Gesture

This is a movie about funny people, but it is not a comedy. It’s funny, at times, but it is not a comedy. I expected it to be a comedy, and although I was surprised to find it wasn’t, I actually wasn’t at all disappointed. It’s a great movie about a guy who changed the world of comedy. Like a whole lot of the funniest people, the story of his life is actually pretty tragic. But the way David Wain tells his story, it’s not only interesting and unique, it’s quite a tribute. It’s definitely not for everyone, but I enjoyed every minute of it.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Meh. If you liked the first one, this is pretty much just a weaker version (from what I can remember), with a bunch of new, famous faces thrown in the mix. It’s got some fun action and the occasional decent joke, and that’s about what it brings to the table. Not bad for a mindless watch, but nothing too clever.

The Cloverfield Paradox

Sheena did not like this movie. I dug it. That seems to be how this movie is going down with everyone: love or hate. I found it interesting, and entertaining, and (although maybe a strange choice) funny. Apparently not for everyone, but I had fun with it.
