Mud

I had no idea what this movie was about when we started it, and I’m glad. It was nice to just let it all play out. Easily the best part of the movie is the two kid actors. They are seriously amazing. Tye Sheridan, who plays the main character, is excellent, and Jacob Lofland, who plays his best friend, Neckbone (awesome), is fantastic. I can’t believe this is Jacob’s first movie. We’ll be seeing a lot from both of these kids. The story is interesting and unique. It’s a pretty slow movie, but I never found it boring. It’s a tad bit long, maybe, but, again, I was never bored. COMMAS! Definitely worth checking out.

Clear History

If you like Larry David and/or Curb Your Enthusiasm, you’ll like this movie. The plot is interesting and clever, and the cast is amazing.

Stoker

I really had no idea what this movie was going to be about, which is probably a good thing, because I might not have watched it, had I known. But it was a good movie. It’s very dark and creepy and uncomfortable. The acting is excellent and the plot is unique. Not for most people, though.

World War Z

Hey! This movie has Brad Pitt! I’m for it! But seriously, I really, really liked this movie. I didn’t expect to, but I did. The story was unique. The action and effects were great. And it was pretty intense and nerve-racking. There were definitely some out there moments that were unrealistic and/or silly, but nothing’s perfect, I guess. Anyway, good stuff. Worth checking out.

Warm Bodies

I really liked this movie. It was really funny and clever and had a lot of heart. There were a few overly cheesy teen romance type scenes, but I could easily look past them because the rest of the movie was so great. The soundtrack is awesome, too. Also, I love Rob Corddry.
