Savages

This movie had a lot of potential, but in the end was just kind of blah. The plot, although done before, is interesting enough, and the acting is pretty solid throughout, but it seems like nothing really happens. Not a complete waste of time, but nothing special.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn –  Part 1

I’m a good husband, so I watch these. We rented Part 1 so I would know what was going on in Part 2. This movie just felt like filler. Not too much happens.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2

Decent ending to a mediocre series. The CG baby face drove me nuts. Good soundtrack. Not sure what the point of that one bearded guy was. The big fight scene was pretty cool.

Skyfall

Daniel Craig is my favorite James Bond. Skyfall is a very bare-boned 007, with very little gadgets, and some great nods to older Bond moments. I liked the introduction to some “new” characters. This is just good movie making and good story telling. If you like James Bond movies, you’ll like this. Guaranteed!

The Lorax

I thought this was a fun little movie. The songs are pretty terrible, but the plot is interesting, most of the voices are great, and the animation is excellent. If you’re a fan of animated kids’ movies, check it out.

On The Road

I never read this book. Maybe I’d like the movie more if I had. Maybe I’d like it less. Who knows? What I do know is that it was just kind of boring. The acting, for the most part, is great. And there are some great moments, but all-in-all it’s just very mediocre. Not really recommended, unless you’ve read the book. Then see it and tell me what you think.

Suffered through BD pt II as well – the fight scene was great until the BIG REVEAL, then I just wanted to stand up, yell “BOOO” and walk out. I hate that kind of gimmick in movies.

I just watched the On the Road. I have been wanting to see it for soo long. I agree though while the acting is good and it has some interesting parts it was just slow and boring and weird in parts! It was not what I expected. I have heard great things about the books but now I am debating on if I still want to read it or not.
