Man On A Ledge

As far as action-y movies go, this was pretty good. I had to keep trying to shut down the logical side of my brain… “that would never work.” “how do they know how to do all this stuff?” “not possible!” But once I got passed that and tried to just enjoy myself, it was a pretty entertaining movie. Obviously, not close to perfect, but fun enough. Worth a good, mindless viewing.

For some reason, I thought I’d heard this movie was terrible. Maybe I did. But it must’ve been from someone dumb. Because it was awesome. It’s animation is amazing, it’s funny, it’s sweet, it’s sad, and it’s got an action/chase scene that’s better than most real-life action movies. It’s pretty weird, and kinda creepy at times, which made me think it wasn’t super kid-friendly, but I guess it’s got a little something for all ages. Anyway, it’s definitely worth checking out.

We Bought A Zoo

Because this was directed by Cameron Crowe, I knew that even though it looked a little cheesy, and a bit sad, I’d see it eventually. I’m glad I did. It was great. It’s got just enough cheese and just enough humor and just enough sadness and just enough happiness to not ever go overboard with any of it. It’s a great story, and, of course, it has a pretty great soundtrack. And the little girl in the movie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones) is possibly the cutest little girl on the planet. See it.
