Alice in Wonderland

I was really excited about this movie. I really like Tim Burton‘s stuff. Well, I used to. His version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a disappointment, and this wasn’t as bad, but it wasn’t as great as it could’ve been. There just wasn’t anything special about it at all. The visuals were pretty cool, and all the characters were well done and fun, but the plot and dialogue were just kinda meh. And I’m getting a little tired of Johnny Depp as Tim Burton’s weirdo. I’m sure I’m probably the only one. It’s not a waste a time, but it was a bit of a letdown. Give me back early 90’s Tim Burton.

Haven’t seen it yet, but I thought the same thing when I saw JD was going to be the mad hatter– Hollywood has plenty of weirdos to choose from, no?

You’re wrong. It is a waste of time. We started fast forwarding at the one hour mark. Do you see it in 3D? Maybe that would have added at least some enjoyment for us. Otherwise we though it was horrid.
